About Us
Our Law Practice
Attorney Scott Lewis is a West Hartford native. He graduated from Kingswood-Oxford School and Trinity College before attending Suffolk University School of Law. He holds a diploma from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, co-sponsored by the Connecticut Bar Association.
Scott began practicing law as an associate attorney at the esteemed Hartford law firm Danaher, Lewis & Tamoney and later formed the partnership Lewis, Lewis & Ferraro, LLC before opening his present firm, Lewis & Lewis, LLC. He was mentored by his father, the late Arthur M. Lewis, who served as President of the Connecticut Bar Association, President of the Commercial Law League of America and was the Legislative Commissioner of the State of Connecticut.
Attorney Lewis is an active member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Hartford County Bar Association, American Land Title Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
Community Involvement
Attorney Lewis is not only an experienced lawyer, with deep connections throughout the Connecticut legal system, but also an active contributor to our local community.
He regularly volunteers at Hartford Hospital alongside Watson, the therapy dog he has trained. While he is accustomed to taking center stage in a courtroom when litigation is required, it’s basically impossible to do anything but play a supporting role when Watson is visiting patients!
Scott is also a leader within his synagogue community at Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford. An avid mountain biker, Scott also loves hiking and snowshoeing.
Scott’s positions in the community include:
- Active Volunteer, Hartford Hospital Pet Therapy Program
- Member and Former Volunteer Patroller, New England Mountain Bike Association
- Treasurer and Former President, Trinity Club of Hartford
- Co-chairperson, Congregation Beth Israel Cemetery Committee
- Former Trustee, Congregation Beth Israel
- Former Commissioner, Town of Avon Natural Resources Commission
Scott is married to Attorney Heidi A. Lewis, and together they have two adult children.
